Creating gym fit t-shirts by upcycling a normal t-shirt is an art and you are about to excel in it through this article. All you need is a full sleeve round-neck t-shirt and a pair of really sharp scissors. Before we start to go chop-chop, here’s a list of things to remember or stuff that will help you create your own gym fitness apparel:

  • If you doubt your measuring skills, feel free to use a ruler.
  • You can pick any fabric of a full sleeve round-neck t-shirt, but we would recommend sticking with cotton. Two reasons why cotton is your best option - One it is easier to cut and two it is perfect for making gym-fit t-shirts as it soaks sweat and keeps your body cool while you are working out.
  • To mark places where you will be putting a cut, you must use a washable pen. In case while cutting you go a little north or south, the marks can be cleaned later.

Cutting a gym wear t-shirts men is reasonably an easier job than cutting a ladies gym T-shirt. The reason behind this is, for women you have more options to explore while you try your hands at cutting. For a ladies’ gym t-shirt, you can cut a tank top, a strap top, or a front tie. Keeping it simple, let’s begin to turn a full sleeve round-neck t-shirt into a gym fitness apparel that both men and women can wear.

Step 1:  Mark the following points:

  • Take a measurement from the armpit and mark 1 inch below.
  • Take a measurement from the collar and mark 2 inches away

Step 2: Join the marks in a semi-circle.

Step 3: Cut the semi-circle and the arms of the t-shirt will come out.

Step 4: Now 4 inches above the bottom of the t-shirt make a mark.

Step 5: Make a straight line cut from the mark.

Tada! You are ready to flaunt your own creation of gym fitness apparel is ready. Create as many gym-fit t-shirts as you can. All you have to do is be creative.
